Kindergarten is currently learning about their community and the people in our community that help us. The Georgia Historical Society came to share about what they do to support our community. They provided the students with old pictures that they had to put together like a puzzle to discover the past. They explained that they do a lot to learn about and share things from the past. The students had our lesson near the historical marker of Mother Mathilda Beasley. They spoke about what it was and why we see them all over Savannah. After our visit, the students took a quick stroll down Bull Street to point out the many parts of our community, such as stores, a playground, a doctor's office, a restaurant, and even a barbershop.
