Fourth and fifth grade SAGE students participated in Constitution Day at the Georgia Historical Society Research Center. Photographs were not allowed to be taken inside the facility, but these students were exceptional ambassadors for SKTCS, demonstrating every part of our student pledge. Throughout the scavenger hunt, they remained focused on analyzing the documents and artifacts. They were responsible with the historical primary sources (including a draft of the U.S. Constitution!), and respectful to each other and the staff of GHS. Students demonstrated their empathetic nature, encouraging one another as they grappled with questions about the Constitution and trying to write cursive on an old board using chalk! Throughout it all, they were empowered- not only sharing historical knowledge they possessed, but being inquisitive and asking thoughtful questions.
